Metallurgical Analysis
From raw materials to finished goods, our processes in continuous sampling, testing, and verification ensure that we meet quality standards and exceed customer expectations. Constant sampling is 24/7. For example, our continuous casting process sends a sample to the lab for chemical verification every 10 minutes. Our semi-continuous caster sends three samples per billet to ensure consistent chemical composition. This helps ensure that Mueller Brass Co. is meeting customer specifications when it comes to chemical composition of their alloys.
Mueller Brass Company uses industry-leading laboratory equipment, including a JOEL Scanning Electron Microscope and XRF (X-ray fluorescence spectrometer). This provides valuable analytical services and helps maintain strict quality control. The handheld XRF Analyzer, used by our 24/7 onsite quality team, ensures that the correct material is shipped to customers. Our metallurgical Lab, with its extensive testing capabilities and high certifications, operates independently to build trust with our customers and external users of our products.
In-House Tooling Shop
Mueller Brass Co. offers a full in-house tooling shop within our plant. This allows us to significantly reduce lead times on tooling, to under 6 weeks. Our tooling shop machinists are authentic craftsman with years of experience. This give our machinists the ability to create intricate tooling efficiently.
